This course occurs on a beautiful 25 acre equestrian facility in Palm City. 2:30pm-4:30pm During this four-week canning and preservation course, students will receive hands-on experiences as they follow recipes to create different canned vegetables, fruits, jams and fermented foods. The class will focus on safe canning methods and on how to properly fill and seal jars. Each week students will receive a new recipe, a jar of the food created that day and will have the opportunity to sample what they’ve made. At the end of the course they will have a basic understanding of the canning process and can extend learning at home. This is a drop off event. All materials and supplies are included.
