Campers will get their passports stamped as they take a trip around the globe using Google Earth, Virtual Reality, Engineering & Design, LEGO and much more. Groups will be separated by age for grade appropriate activities that will challenge campers who may visit the Eiffel Tower and then design, build and test the stability of their own tower. From there they may choose to travel to the Golden Gate Bridge to discover how different structures are built. They may experience the Louvre and create beautiful art related to a favorite piece found there. Campers will travel the world in the comfort of AAALC’s amazing science center!

DNA to Dissection (CLOSED)
(Entering 1st-8th Grade)

Do you know that you can pull the DNA out of a strawberry or banana or even a fertilized chicken egg? Do you know how to build a DNA strand that you can eat? Have you observed what’s inside different animals and what makes humans healthy? Future doctors, or simply budding scientists who are insatiably curious, will experience the wonder of humans, plants and animals and discover what makes them tick! Hands on experiences, virtual dissection and actual dissection will occur but will be age appropriate and will be taught in conjunction with a respect and admiration for nature, animals and the world around us.
